Visiting a church for the first time sometimes can feel like an awkward experience! But when it comes to Amazing Grace, there are some things that we trust will make you feel welcome.
First, expect a church that is honored that you are here – We want you to know first and foremost, that we are honored that you’re visiting with us! Whether you're just passing through or live in the area, we’re grateful that you chose to visit with us.
Second, expect meaningful worship – At Amazing Grace, we worship Jesus Christ. Our goal is worship, not entertainment, therefore the music is meaningful, enjoyable, and refreshing.
Third, expect a practical Bible message – we believe that the Bible is still relevant for today. When you come to Amazing Grace Baptist Church you can expect Bible preaching and teaching that gives Bible answers to today’s life questions and decisions.
Fourth, expect to be impacted for the better – Our goal is simple – to love you and encourage you. We do not believe that everything in your life will go exactly the way you want. But we do believe God’s Word, God’s grace, and God’s love – through the person of Jesus Christ will make an incredible difference in your life!
1. REALIZE EVERYONE IS A SINNER.
Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Everyone can agree that NO ONE is perfect! The word "sin" in the Bible means any action that goes against the Word of God. For example, lying, cheating, and stealing are all considered to be sin! If we are honest with ourselves, we have to admit that all have sinned.
2. REALIZE SIN HAS A PRICE.
Romans 6:23a
"For the wages of sin is death;..."
This is speaking of eternal death, which is also called "the second death" which is mentioned in Revelation 20:14.
3. REALIZE SIN"S PRICE HAS BEEN PAID.
Romans 6:23b
"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Although sin brings eternal death, God wants to give us eternal life. Notice that eternal life is not through going to church, being baptized, or being a good person, but it is "through Jesus Christ."
4. REALIZE EVERYONE CAN BE SAVED.
Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:9
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him form the dead, thou shalt be saved."
If you would like to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, simply bow your head right now and humbly:
Admit to God that you are a sinner.
Tell Him you believe Jesus died for you.
Ask Him to forgive your sins and save your soul.
Believe that He promised to save you.
